Christ Reformed Church - Rev Brian Lee
Christ’s strong words on the road to Emmaus could just as easily be addressed to the church today. Christ bore witness to himself and his suffering and glory as the fulfillment of all Scripture. For forty days, Luke tells us, he opened the minds of his disciples to understand the Scriptures in this same way – and likewise to confess their Christ. In the preaching and writing that fills the New Testament, this is the confession we consistently see.  At Christ Reformed Church, the Scriptures are at the center of all we do, and we seek to faithfully bear witness to the suffering and glory of Christ by preaching Christ and Him crucified. Our worship and church life are shaped by the biblical pattern of confessing our guilt, proclaiming the Lord’s grace, and living lives of gratitude, as shaped by our Heidelberg Catechism.  Recently, Christ URC organized as a church, and installed elders and deacons.

Rev. Lee holds degrees from Stanford University (B.A.), Westminster Seminary California (Masters) and Calvin Theological Seminary (Ph.D.), and has taught at the Washington, DC and Atlanta campuses of Reformed Theological Seminary, as well as Calvin College and Calvin Seminary, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has authored numerous popular articles and has published scholarly works on the biblical interpretation of the Reformation and the origins of the Reformed doctrine of the covenant.

His pastoral experience began as a founding member of Christ Reformed Church in Anaheim, California in 1995, when Brian led evening worship and taught adult education courses as a seminarian. He was later licensed in the United Reformed Church and has preached in numerous URC, PCA, and OPC churches.  Brian was ordained in the United Reformed Churches in 2008.  Brian lives with his wife and daughter in the community of Del Ray in Alexandria, Virginia.

By God's grace Christ Reformed Church, organized as a church in December 2015 and has installed elders and deacons.  Please pray that God would continue to bless this church as it seeks to be faithful to the Great Commission in Washington DC.

Christ Reformed Church meets for worship at 9:15 & 11:00 am Sundays:
