URCNA MISSIONS
Home Missions
The work of home missions (or church planting) in the URCNA occurs primarily at the local level, with congregations and classes engaging in this work across North America. Every one of our classes has its own committee on home missions. Below you can find information about all of our current home missionaries in the URCNA.
The URCNA also has a Synodical Committee on Home Missions (SCHM) to promote church planting across the federation. The SCHM is composed of eight men who each represent their classis, and it exists to coordinate church planting resources and information among the classes and churches of the federation.
Misiones Iowa
Rev. Elijah Anderson
Sanborn, Iowa - Misiones Iowa engages in outreach to Spanish-speaking people throughout Northwest Iowa, and encourages local churches to be faithful to the work of evangelism. Currently, this is accomplished through Spanish Bible studies, chaplaincy, translation services and Spanish worship services.
Indy Reformed Church
Rev. Austin Reifel
Indy Reformed is a church plant located in Indianapolis, IN, and is a mission work of Zeltenreich Reformed Church in New Holland, PA. What began as a small Bible study has, by God’s grace, grown into a vibrant and committed core group. The church continues to develop both spiritually and numerically as it moves toward organization, with regular Lord’s Day worship services, catechetical instruction, and community outreach.
Word of Life Ministry
Rev. Brian Zegers
Ajax, Ontario - Word of Life Ministry is a mission work among the Muslim communities in the eastern end of the Greater Toronto Area. We proclaim the gospel and show the love of Christ by facilitating Christian-Muslim Discussion Evenings, representing the Christian faith at interfaith events, hosting one-on-one and small group Bible studies, providing counseling and prayer, building relationships through hosting and visiting, by providing Christian literature including A 31 Day Journey through the Bible, and by providing online teaching at True Salaam (True Peace) where we seek to explain the Christian faith to Muslim viewers.

Daniel Ventura are joyfully co-laboring in El Mesías, our Spanish-language ministry, where God is at work transforming lives and making disciples of Jesus Christ among Spanish-speaking individuals and families in Ontario and the greater Los Angeles area. Through Spirit-filled worship, intentional outreach, and gospel-centered discipleship, the Lord is growing a strong, Christ-exalting community. Madison, Indiana - Madison Reformed Church exists to bring the clear gospel preaching and healthy church life to a region of the Midwest severely lacking a Reformed witness. With the Spirit's blessing, we want to contribute to Reformation in the Ohio Valley and be a church that sets down deep roots, where "it shall be told of the Lord to the coming generation" (Psalm 22:30).

Florence, Kentucky - Christ Reformed (URC) is a church plant located between the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter in Northern Kentucky. Ascension Reformed Church in Cincinnati, OH oversees Christ Reformed. The church plant was launched in February of 2024.

Ventura Reformed
Rev. Adam Kaloostian
Ventura, California - Ventura Reformed, in Ventura, California, about 75 miles up the coast from downtown Los Angeles, is a URCNA Southwest US Classis church plant of the Pasadena United Reformed Church. The project began in the spring of 2021 when Pasadena URC, having three households that had moved to Ventura, called and sent Adam and his family to initiate the work. Ventura Reformed began worship services in May 2022, and with God's blessing, took ownership in early 2024 of the former First Lutheran Church campus in midtown.

Through English and Arabic broadcasts, we reach millions across North America, the Middle East, and closed countries—engaging Islamic thinkers, strengthening believers, and answering spiritual questions. We also equip churches and Christians to share the gospel through focused training courses.

Niagara Falls, Ontario - Our mission is that that others may hear the good news of Jesus Christ from us, see the results of the good news of Jesus Christ in us and through faith in Jesus Christ be included in Jesus' worshiping community. We hope that as a church plant, other sinners will l be drawn into the truth of who God is as a just God who has shown His love to us in Jesus Christ so that they can join us to be a light and a salt in this dark world.
Providence Reformed Church

Sioux Falls, SD - Providence Reformed Church is a URCNA church plant, currently meeting at the McCrossan Boys Ranch Visitor Center in northwest Sioux Falls, South Dakota. We desire to be known for biblical preaching, reverent worship, and joyful fellowship.
